GET CAUGHT UP ON YOUR TECHNOLOGY SKILLS
FOR TEACHING AND RECEIVE CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION
HOURS IN TECHNOLOGY AT THE SAME TIME: LEARN HOW TO APPLY LAPTOPS,
SOFTWARE, PERIPHERALS, AND OTHER TECHNOLOGY TOYS TO NEW POSSIBILITIES
IN CURRICULUM!
This is Dr. Joe Kortz, Continuing Professional
Education hour provider #501222 in the state of Texas giving you an opportunity
to enroll your teachers in my "road warrior" technology camp.
Teachers are encouraged to bring their laptops and favorite technology
toys for the purpose of applying them pedagogically in the classroom.
Teachers will learn to connect to cameras, digital camcorders, scanners,
printers, wireless internet, microphones, and a whole host of other technology
equipment. Also, they will incorporate movie clips, recorded voice, and
graphics to promote both linguistic and conceptual understanding. Teachers
will teach better, students will learn better, classes will be better
organized, resources can be shared very cost effectively, and motivation
to use technology will rise as more is mastered. This is a hands-on, contextual
approach to improving technology skills. After teachers attend technology
camp, they will be awarded CPE hours, be able to make TEKs-based interactive
lessons, record voice and video, and be able to do so where not possible
before. In fact, all they will need is a wall and plug to captivate students
and motivate colleagues around them! Even administrators need this training!
